︎ Concept/Experience Design
︎ Physical and Digital Fabrication
Moonlit is an immersive experience following the story of a fictional moon spirit and creatures of a forest. By combining interactive technical intalls, live actors and physical theater props, the world was brought to life and opened to the public. Audience members of all ages were encouraged to participate in the world by being offered multiple settings, activities and affordances. While creating this experience my team and I wanted to make sure everyone felt comfortable in the experience while at the same time engaged. We did this by making it possible to mingle, dance, lounge and order from the “sensory bar.” There was also the option to could follow the storyline which acted as a puzzle. You had to talk to each of the forest characters to receive a token to meet and speak with the moon spirit. At the end of the night, the moon spirit then came out and mingled with all of the guests.

3.) Gemstone Gobstopper

︎ Interactive Dance Floor
Live DJ set
Projection Mapped wall and kinect camera that would project your shadow in colorful, pixelated ways.
︎ Lounge
A calm, inviting place to sit and chill out. Couches and comfy chairs.
︎ UV Light hand stamps
Each time you would talk to a new character they would put their own special marking on the back of your hand.
Once an audience member collected all four stamps, they were allowed to meet the moon spirit.
We had a “Bouncer character who carried around a “moon sprite” which had small UV light emitting from it’s mouth. The bouncer would use the moon sprite’s UV light to check if guests had all four stamps.
︎ Moon Tokens
Upon meeting the Moon Spirit, audience would be gifted with a moon token. The token was a clear, laser cut moon phase. This was a nice take away for guests and tokens were different as you didn’t know which moon phase you would recieve.
