                                    Process

Spur Time is an experimentation with transit time and hyper reality. With the release of Apple’s Vision Pro headset I believe we have unlocked a new epoch of augmented reality integrating into everyday life. For the Johnny Carson Center’s 48 Hour Film Festival hosted at ILM London, I explored different ways time could be implemented and abused by a user experience. This is not a desireable future but rather an unveiling of the ways in which we dissociate now through tiktok and other socials.

During the initial film festival kick off and breifing we learned that each film had to include : A Time Epoch, the quote, “Do not keep time, but stretch and slice it,” and and be no more than five minutes long.

Process Timeline:

Ideate and explore London with team

Storyboarding and experimenting with tech - I ended up recording video of my hand infront of a blank background and then using Runway AI’s greenscreen tool to remove the blank backround.

Recording videos of the city for the film

Editing Process - With the videos taken in the city, I overlayed motion graphics animated in adobe after effects and quick 3D renders made in blender for the eye ball and human.

Sound effects and background.
